Baron is my first
game.
It is a tile-laying game for 2 to 5 players, over 12 years old.
The rule is in French, English, German and Italian.
Baron mixes tactic, chance, alliances and treasons.
The medieval landscape is extending throughout the playing time and offers
the players advisabilities to set their knights.
When a knight is able to be established, he builds a baronnie and gives
points of honor to his lord, according to the value of the tiles which
surround him.
But a baronnie can be destroyed by other knights and can thus lose a part
of its points.
The victory is never entirely acquired because each one wants to get the
best sites.
Consequently, the play is very interactive...
The power of both the attacker and the defender depends on the tiles surrounding
them,
but not on those common to them.
The power of the baronnies changes according to the side by which they
are attacked.
This system of engagements is completely innovating and renews the interest
for the tile-laying games.

There are several ways of playing Baron.
It is necessary to adapt and change tactic during the playing time in
order to be victorious.

Wir schreiben das Jahr 1114 und befinden uns unter der Herrschaft Ludwigs des VI, auch Ludwig der Dicke genannt, in einem Land, das noch nicht das Königreichvon Frankreich ist.
In dieser Zeit politischer Unruhen verweigern zahlreiche kleine Adlige und Barone dem neuen König ihre Huldigung und fechten dessen Autorität an. Diese Vasallen führen sich als raubende Burgherren auf und versuchen mit allen Mitteln neue Ländereien zu erobern, um dort Donjons als Zeugen irher Macht zu errichten.
Sie spielen einen solchen Edelmann und sind festenschlossen, Ihren Einfluss auf die umliegenden Ländereien auszudehnen. Es wird zu einem erbitterten Kampf kommen, denn andere Edelmänner verfolgen dieselben Ziele!
Baron ist ein Spiel, in dem es um Einfluss und Bündnisse, Begierde und Verrat geht und in dem nichts für immer erworben ist! "Montjoie! Saint-Denis! Dass ich sterbe, falls ich schwach werde!".
